About the Company
Our large NSW Government Department client is responsible for the management and stewardship of multiple Gardens and Parklands across Sydney Metropolitan Region. They are also one of the country’s leading international tourism businesses.
About the Role
They are currently seeking a professional and experienced Asset & Facilities Coordinator to join their team in Mt Annan. This is an estimated 12-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Place, Design and Public Spaces Division, you will be responsible for the oversight of asset management, facilities maintenance and project management services to support the operations of the site, whilst ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery and management of asset management and facilities maintenance programs across the site
- Provide support to the Senior Assets Coordinator
- Log and track jobs / work orders into the asset management and facilities work management systems, monitor issues and close off jobs satisfactorily completed
- Assist with activities, scheduling and planning, proactively identifying issues and provide solutions
- Assess and allocate work requests to ensure work assigned is effectively addressed
- Coordinate planned maintenance, adhoc requests, emergencies and minor works projects
- Supervise contractors undertaking preventative maintenance activities
- Coordinate entry and local site inductions, supporting trades, service providers and contractors to carry out work required
- Actively participate in a range of emergency, safety and business continuity planning
- Implement efficient and effective tiered response procedures for facilities related incidents and issues, including weather and power outages
- Preparation of documentation including strategic plans, asset management and stocktaking reports
- Review and analyse regular reports including monthly property management reporting
- Provide expertise and advice for ongoing performance of properties to support decision making outcomes
- Ensure all team members are trained and equipped to initially assess requirements, address immediate safety concerns and escalate as required
- Act as the site point of contact for maintenance and security
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
About You

- Solid analytical, decision making, conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite and Manipac
Requirements
- Trade Qualifications in Building, Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC
- Tertiary Qualifications in Facilities / Asset Management or an equivalent field
- Demonstrated Facilities and Asset Management experience
- Proven experience assessing maintenance and repairs work requirements
- Experience supervising contracted services in the delivery of high standards
- Experience in purchase order management and budget administration
- Valid Drivers licence and own car
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours and on weekends, if required
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
