They are seeking an experienced legal Secretary who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a long-term legal career. What you'll do:
- Provide strong administrative support to partners and legal teams, including file management, follow-up with clients and professional matter management
- Client intake and ongoing client management via phone and email
- Draft, prepare and proofread legal documents and correspondence; audio typing/transcription
- Open, organise and close files; assist with discovery and document production
- Undertake legal and factual research and liaise with courts, experts and other stakeholders
- Diary and time management for self and team members
- Use practice systems proactively (ActionStep and CRM)
- Greet clients and visitors professionally; coordinate conference/meeting rooms
- Assist with light office tasks including beverage/food preparation and distribution of incoming deliveries
- Support implementation and improvement of administrative systems and automation.
What you'll bring:
- 3 + years experience in personal injury/compensation law and an ambition to build a legal career in these areas
- Australian working rights (required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with an ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
