The Company
Our large NSW State Government client aims to actively grow and manage the supply of the right types of housing, at the right time, in the right areas, for people in need in the NSW community.   
 
The Role
They are currently seeking a Project Risk Manager to join their team in Parramatta. This is an estimated 12-month temporary assignment with the potential to extend.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Support the consistent application of risk management practices, tools, and processes across the Program and project teams, aligned with the Risk Management Framework and strategic objectives.
  • Provide advice and support to project teams in identifying, analysing, and responding to strategic and operational delivery risks.
  • Maintain and coordinate updates to the Program and project risk registers, ensuring timely escalation and alignment with mitigation actions.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate risk workshops and reviews across the Program and ensure risk-informed delivery decisions.
  • Prepare high-quality risk reports and dashboards for senior leadership, governance forums, and reporting requirements.
  • Promote risk awareness and improve capability by mentoring delivery teams in applying best practice risk management.
  • Contribute to Program-level assurance activities and ensure alignment of project-level risks with broader Program risks.
  • Monitor and track the effectiveness of key controls, identifying gaps and supporting the development of improvement plans.
 
About You
  • Understanding of project management practices.
  • Understanding of asset management principals in the development of Professional Service Briefs for Asset Sales, Redevelopment and Upgrade opportunities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to commit to the duration of the assignment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to undergo any pre-employment checks and requirements
