Alexander Appointments is partnering with a major NSW Government transport organisation delivering one of Australia’s largest public infrastructure programs. This role will shape leadership and capability development across a complex, high‑profile environment.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Leadership & Engagement, you will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of leadership and capability programs aligned to business and workforce strategy. You will partner with senior leaders, HR and external providers to build a high‑performance, values‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the organisation-wide leadership learning and development plan, aligned with strategic and capability priorities.
  • Consult with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to diagnose needs and provide expert advice on leadership, teaming and capability solutions.
  • Ensure mandatory/compliance training requirements are identified and integrated into the broader training strategy.
  • Design, facilitate and/or oversee delivery of leadership and capability programs that drive on-the-job behaviour change and measurable business impact.
  • Work with internal teams and external providers to create contemporary, fit-for-purpose curriculum and learning solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate programs using metrics, dashboards and regular reporting to support continuous improvement.
About you
  • Significant experience leading the development, implementation and evaluation of learning strategies and programs, preferably focused on leadership and management.
  • Strong background in curriculum design for leadership, management or high-performance team programs (including blended and modern learning methods).
  • Proven ability to influence, coach and build credibility with senior stakeholders in large, complex organisations.
  • Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills, with a collaborative, solutions-focused style.
Essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Organisational Development, HR, Education, Psychology, Adult Learning) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the public sector or highly regulated environments will be well regarded.
