About the Company
Our large NSW State Government client provides comprehensive legal service to NSW Health and provides oversight and advice on regulation and compliance of pharmaceutical, tobacco, private health and assisted reproduction technology matters.

About the Role
They are currently seeking 10x Senior Regulation officers with administrative decision making or licensing experience to join their team in St Leonards with the flexibility of working remotely from home a few days per week. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend.
  
Working within the Regulatory Division, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Tobacco Licensing applications and administrative decision making outcomes to ensure regulation and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process high volume licensing applications
  • Retrieve, gather and collate information on applicants
  • Review and assess complex and sensitive material, determining licensing outcome
  • Verifying application data validity and integrity
  • Brief the delegate on licensing application outcomes, revocations, conditions, closure orders and approvals/authorisations
  • Remain impartial completing unbiased assessments in a timely manner
  • Preparation of documentation including ministerial briefings, correspondence and letters
  • Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic compliance program initiatives
    Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
About You

  • High attention to detail
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Collaborative individual that can work within a team environment and autonomously
Requirements
  • Demonstrated Licensing, Assessment or Regulatory Officer experience or experience within an equivalent field
  • Proven experience working within a high volume Administrative Decision Making, Licensing OR Regulatory environment
  • Previous experience working within a sensitive/complex, dynamic and high-volume environment
  • Ability to interpret legislation and compliance
  • Reliable remote internet access
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
