We are partnering with a leading business that operates one of the most extensive distribution networks in the country. Supporting large-scale operations and upcoming infrastructure projects, this site plays a critical role in delivering essential goods to stores and customers nationwide.
They’re seeking an experienced Senior Safety Specialist to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a site-based role that will see you act as a key stakeholder within the project team, supporting major contractor activities. You will be a trusted voice on all matters of safety, risk, and compliance.
You’ll bring a proactive approach to risk management, safety observations, and site readiness in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage contractor WHS compliance on site
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety observations and risk assessments
- Ensure contractors hold relevant licences, tickets and site inductions
- Report and follow up on any WHS non-conformances
- Guide the project team on WHS legislation and best practice
- Maintain accurate WHS records and reporting
- Flexibility to travel to NSW if required
- Availability to work flexible hours, depending on contractor schedules
- About You Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum)
- Proven WHS experience in FMCG, logistics or manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of contractor management and compliance
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders
- Adaptable and flexible – able to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Willingness to travel and adjust hours to meet operational requirements
