About the Role
Reporting to the National Commercial and Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the timely and cost-effective supply of product packaging to supporting seasonal demand and production schedules. This role will work closely with the operations; logistics and manufacturing teams to ensure product is in place and available to meet all production sites to fill forecasted and stock seasonal demand orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels and procurement of all required product labels and 110L drums for seasonal production.
- Ensure all materials are on-site and ready ahead of production start dates.
- Liaise with suppliers to secure best pricing, delivery, and quality, and resolve any supply or quality issues.
- Maintain accurate records in SAP (S4 Hana) and optimise ERP system use for inventory and supply chain performance.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure compliance and up-to-date product information.
- Prepare regular stock and obsolescence reports; support monthly reconciliations and biannual stocktakes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support company improvement projects and other ad hoc tasks as required.
- Diploma or degree in a business-related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing or supply planning, ideally in the raw material production or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain concepts, and experience with imports/3PL.
- Proficiency in SAP (S4 Hana highly desired), Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage priorities independently.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
