About the role
Our client is currently seeking a Supply Chain Planning Analyst with FMCG or food production experience to join their team in Glendenning, commencing ASAP. This is a 6month fixed term contract to support optimisation initiatives.
Reporting to the Catering Services Manager, and working closely with finance, production and distribution, you will be required to review, design and implement analytics framework that clarifies cost drivers across the manufacturing environment, whilst identifies critical visibility to improve operational and commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyse unit cost of production from raw inputs to final delivery, identifying areas for continuous improvement and cost efficiencies
- Work closely with operational teams including production, finance and logistics to gather accurate data
- Develop cost analytics framework to clearly define unit cost of production across various meal types and product lines
- Identify and model cost drivers including raw materials, packaging, labour, equipment usage, waste and distribution overheads
- Build dashboards and tools to monitor cost changes, distributor performance analytics and flag inefficiencies
- Gather and collate data to support decision making outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership to understand cost-to-serve by product, channel and customer type
- Contribute to implementation of planning tools including forecasting, scheduling and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with WHS, best practice, policies and procedures
About you
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Impeccable stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across all levels
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite, Power BI and WorkDay Adaptive
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years in manufacturing analytics, operational finance or cost accounting within food production, healthcare supply chain or FMCG
- Strong commercial acumen to drive cost efficiencies
- Knowledge of food manufacturing workflows, HACCP and quality control
- Deep experience in analysing unit cost of production from raw inputs to final delivery
- Strong understanding of cost allocation, cost modelling and product-level margin analysis
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
