Our large NSW State Government client aims to actively grow and manage the supply of the right types of housing, at the right time, in the right areas, for people in need in the NSW community.
About the Role
They are currently seeking an experienced Learning & Development Advisor, specialising in Work, Health & Safety to join their team in Parramatta. This is an opportunity working 35 hours per week. It is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working with the Health Safety Committee and wider team, you will provide high quality learning & development services to ensure a whole-of-lifecycle approach to safety, including covering the areas of: legal requirements, contractor, supplier and procurement safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver strategic WH&S training programs and contribute to the development and implementation of learning and development to achieve Department and Corporate objectives.
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of learning and development programs and services, including the preparation of correspondence, briefings and reports on findings, emerging issues, risks and solutions.
- Work in collaboration with managers and staff to identify needs and requirements, capability and skill gaps across the Department and support the ongoing development of capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a user centric system and quick reference guides and instructional videos where applicable.
- Provide managers and employees with timely and accurate guidance and advice on WH&S risk, to ensure consistent application of WH&S policies, procedures and guidelines and adherence to WH&S legislation and obligations.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desired
- Current driver license and ability and willingness to travel
- May involve travel both locally and regionally, including overnight travel, as required by the business and/or directed.
- Organisational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
