Our large NSW State Government client protects, promotes and supports the rights, dignity, choices and wishes of the vulnerable people of NSW. They do this by providing multidisciplinary services including Will-making, estate planning, executorship, trustee, financial management and guardianship services.
About the Role
They are currently seeking multiple experienced Tax Advisors to join their team in Parramatta. This is an opportunity working 35 hours per week. It is an estimated 3-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Financial Performance and Investments team, you will provide high quality consistent and timely financial, taxation and legal support services to vulnerable clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Reports finances to management, and offer suggestions about resource utilisation, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Provide support to deliver high quality, timely and customer focused advice and service to clients.
- Complete basic tax returns of average complexity and, deliver advisory services that are high quality, consistent, cost effective and timely, compliant with legislative requirements and consistent with industry best practice.
- Work closely with Client Service Officers to ensure advice is appropriately implemented.
- Escalate difficult matters, appeals and significant complaints as required to ensure that they are resolved effectively
- Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
- Bachelor's degree in area of specialty, and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Willingness to undergo National Police Check
- Availability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
- Effective verbal & written communication skills
- Organisational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving skills and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
