Debra is a seasoned Human Resources professional who has transitioned her in‑house expertise into a dual role as Senior Recruitment and People Advisory Consultant with Alexander Appointments. Drawing on years of experience supporting operational, blue‑collar and corporate environments, Debra brings a practical, business‑focused approach to every engagement.
 
Throughout her career, Debra has been the go‑to adviser for managers on complex HR and industrial relations issues, including award interpretation, performance management, grievances, stand downs, termination, and redundancy. She has successfully implemented HRIS systems, led remuneration reviews, overseen engagement and recognition programs, and designed policies and employment contracts to ensure compliance and reduce risk. This depth of experience allows her to quickly understand a client’s culture, processes and pain points and translate them into the right talent and people solutions.
 
Debra’s recruitment and people advisory work spans end‑to‑end hiring, onboarding and induction, as well as coaching leaders on hiring decisions and workforce planning. She thrives in fast‑paced, operationally critical environments such as transport, logistics and facilities services, where balancing commercial outcomes with employee wellbeing is essential. Known for her high attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage multiple priorities, Debra builds long‑term relationships with stakeholders who value her honesty, empathy and pragmatic advice.
 
Leading Alexander Appointments’ People Advisory offering, Debra partners with clients on everything from day‑to‑day HR support to implementing new HR systems, improving data and compliance, and driving engagement initiatives.
