Business Services Accountant
- $100,000 - $105,000 + Super + Bonus
- 12-month FTC with a view to extend
- ASAP start | Pymble | Hybrid
This role provides operational excellence to the Business Services function across Australia and New Zealand, with a core focus on fleet management and administrative support such as travel and expenses systems, transactional finance and internal controlling, reporting and other business services activities.
Reporting to Head of Finance & Business Services, you will be a key enabler of consistent, high‑quality fleet and travel services to business units, acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. The role suits an accounting or finance professional who enjoys a mix of operational execution, policy governance and stakeholder management.
What You'll Be Doing
Fleet operations
- Manage the ANZ vehicle fleet (tool‑of‑trade and management) with internal stakeholders and external providers, including policy and process governance.
- Lead supplier and insurance negotiations, and analyse fleet cost, efficiency and CO2 impact to recommend improvements.
- Support IFRS 16/AASB 16 fleet lease implementation and FBT analysis for fleet
- Manage project finances, allocating POs and invoices to project phases and maintaining clear visibility of spend.
- Support Travel & Expense programs (including credit card reconciliations), policy documentation, claims escalations and corporate credit card administration.
- Assist with insurance claims and certificates, and Source‑to‑Pay activities across business services.
- Produce regular fleet and business services dashboards and reports for the Head of Finance & Business Services.
- Highlight continuous improvement and cost‑saving opportunities, and report policy non‑compliance for fleet and travel.
- Attend vendor review meetings (e.g. QBRs) and present fleet operational data and insights to senior management.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- 3-5+ years in Fleet and Administration Services
- SAP FI-CO / WBS Project Support / Ariba
- SAP Purchasing module experience / SAP Concur T&E and Travel OBT Module
- Brief knowledge with IFRS 16/AASB 16 lease accounting
- Willingness to engage with operational teams and learn fleet contract management
- Previous experience as the local finance services SME for employees regarding the business travel and expenses reimbursements and Policy.
- Available for an ASAP start
