An exciting opportunity has become available to join a well-respected not-for-profit organisation based in Macquarie Park. These roles will support a busy customer service team who are first point of contact assisting vulnerable individuals.

This organisation plays a vital role in supporting people in the community through challenging situations, so your work will directly contribute to a team making a genuine difference.

You will handle high-volume inbound calls from clients, family members and support workers, triaging issues and working with internal teams to resolve them promptly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer high-volume inbound calls as the first point of contact for in-home support services
  • Listen carefully to concerns (e.g. missed visits, carers delayed or lost, changes in client needs) and triage the issue
  • Provide reassuring, empathetic customer service to clients and carers during stressful situations
  • Capture accurate information and update internal systems and records
  • Liaise with internal teams and coordinators to organise appropriate follow-up and resolution
  • Keep clients and carers informed of next steps and timeframes
  • Work as part of a supportive team to ensure service levels and response times are met
About You
  • Strong customer service experience in a phone-based or high-volume environment
  • Calm, empathetic communication style, especially when speaking with vulnerable or distressed callers
  • Confident handling multiple calls and tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Able to listen, problem-solve and follow processes to ensure issues are escalated and resolved appropriately
  • Comfortable working to service levels and in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Reliable, positive and keen to contribute to meaningful work that supports the community
