We're partnering with a leading advanced manufacturing business specialising in innovative product development, automation and high-volume manufacturing solutions across multiple industries.

The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a technically minded and solutions-focused NPI - Quality Engineer to join a growing advanced manufacturing business supporting highly regulated industries.

This role sits at the intersection of Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing, supporting the successful introduction of new products into production while ensuring processes are robust, scalable and capable of meeting the highest quality standards.

This is not a traditional QA documentation-focused role. Instead, the position requires strong engineering thinking, structured problem solving, collaboration across technical teams and the ability to translate analysis into practical manufacturing outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in process validation, new product introduction (NPI), continuous improvement and manufacturing readiness across complex production environments.

Key Responsibilities:
New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Lead quality activities from concept through to production transfer
  • Execute process validation activities including IQ, OQ and PQ
  • Develop control plans, inspection strategies and validation documentation
  • Support process optimisation during development and production ramp-up
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, suppliers and customers to ensure manufacturing readiness
  • Identify process risks, critical variables and opportunities for yield improvement
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions, risk assessments and problem-solving workshops
  • Support production transfer and knowledge sharing across global manufacturing operations
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead investigations using structured methodologies including DMAIC, 8D and Root Cause Analysis
  • Apply analytical tools such as DOE, SPC and MSA to identify process drivers and validate improvements
  • Investigate manufacturing and quality issues during product launch and stabilisation phases
  • Drive practical and sustainable process improvements across manufacturing operations
Technical & Quality Support
  • Develop strong understanding of manufacturing processes including moulding, coating, automation and assembly
  • Support technical decision-making balancing quality, manufacturability and scalability
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, validation protocols and quality documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and applicable regulatory requirements
About You
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or related Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years' experience within Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or NPI environments
  • Strong understanding of process validation, structured problem solving and manufacturing quality systems
  • Hands-on experience with RCA, DOE, SPC, MSA and Six Sigma / DMAIC methodologies, preferred
  • Experience within advanced manufacturing environments such as medical device, plastics, automotive or FMCG
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Naturally curious, collaborative and proactive in solving technical problems
  • Comfortable working in evolving environments with cross-functional teams
Why Join?
  • Work on technically complex, high-impact products
  • Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Global manufacturing environment
  • Strong career growth opportunities
  • Relocation support available
