With the broader payroll team supporting a major systems implementation, you will provide essential business-as-usual payroll support, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across a large and complex workforce.
The Role
Working within a supportive payroll team, you will be responsible for processing of both weekly and monthly payroll, while providing excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 900 weekly and 400 monthly employees
- Processing payroll accurately and on time using Preceda
- Applying Awards, Enterprise Agreements and industrial instruments
- Managing payroll enquiries via phone and email
- Payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
- Working closely with the Payroll Manager and wider payroll team to ensure business continuity during the systems upgrade
- Experience with Preceda is preferred, although we welcome applicants with experience using comparable enterprise payroll platforms
- Experience processing large-volume weekly and monthly payrolls
- Previous exposure to Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Experience with time and attendance systems
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team
- Immediate start
- Initial 9-month contract (approximately), with the potential for extension
