This is a varied role combining Australian payroll oversight and support with compensation and benefits activities, making it ideal for an experienced payroll professional who also has exposure to remuneration, salary reviews, bonus processes and HR systems.
About the Role
Working closely with the local HR and Finance teams, as well as an offshore Payroll team and regional Compensation & Benefits stakeholders, you will help ensure payroll activities are accurate, compliant and completed within deadlines, while supporting key annual remuneration and benefits processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the offshore Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Review and approve payroll-related activities, including superannuation payments and regulated deductions
- Coordinate workers compensation renewals
- Assist with payroll queries, reconciliations, reporting and compliance requirements
- Act as the local subject matter expert and superuser for payroll, HRIS and time & attendance systems
- Support the annual salary/merit review and bonus processes in line with global and regional guidelines
- Prepare and maintain compensation and benefits data, spreadsheets and reports
- Assist with salary benchmarking and remuneration analysis, including salary survey submissions
- Solid Australian payroll experience and knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience with payroll tax, superannuation, workers compensation and employee deductions
- Exposure to annual salary reviews, merit increases, bonus processes or remuneration analysis
- Strong Excel and reporting skills, with confidence working with payroll and employee data
- Experience using HRIS, payroll and/or time & attendance systems
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines
