About The Company Our client is a NSW Government agency supporting children, young people, adults, families and whole communities to build vibrant, sustainable and inclusive places to live, and based in Parramatta is seeking a part-time Taxation Advisory Officer to support its finance and corporate services functions.

About the Role The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with taxation legislation while managing internal tax obligations. This includes interpreting tax laws, providing taxation advice, and managing interactions with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Revenue NSW.
This is a part-time contract role working 21 hours per week (7 hours per day). The successful candidate will assist with preparing tax returns, responding to tax-related enquiries, and handling correspondence with the ATO.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-volume individual, trust, and estate tax returns
• Check notices of assessment for accuracy
• Respond to income tax queries
• Manage and respond to ATO correspondence
• Provide general taxation administration support

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience preparing individual and trust tax returns
• Understanding of Australian taxation legislation and ATO requirements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage high-volume work efficiently
